Easter Egg Hunt

Today was Brody's Easter Egg Hunt at school. Here's a picture of his class with the Easter Bunny!!!

Brody couldn't wait to see what was in the eggs that the Easter Bunny hid. CANDY!!!!!!!

Peter Pan!!

We took the boys to see the play Peter Pan this weekend. They both absolutely LOVED it (especially Wyatt-he's still completely obsessed with Peter Pan)! Brody dressed up like Captain Hook and Wy was Peter Pan. Here they are waiting for Mama & Papa to arrive before the show.

Right before the show started the announcer mentioned that there was a Captain Hook and Peter Pan in the audience and shined all the attention on the boys. It was sooooo cute!!!

After the show we were able to get pictures of the boys with the cast (all ages of kids). Here's Captain Hook who was Brody's favorite. ARRRGGGHHH!!!

So Brody's teacher said that she recommended these Bob Books for kids who were ready to start sounding out words. I'd never hear of Bob Books, but wouldn't you know the library had a whole section of them. Woo hoo! So during Wyatt's nap today Brody and I sat down to see if he can sound out words in this book. Well, it was the perfect level for him right now. He read all four short stories!!!! I was soooo proud of my big boy!!!! Here he is showing off the first book he's EVER read!

Racing to Save Lives

Mama & Papa for the day!

Yesterday we spent the whole day with Mama & Papa! We started out by heading to the farmer's market. The boys had fun shopping for veggies, bouncing in the bounce house, going to the petting zoo, getting their faces painted, playing with their balloon swords, etc. It was a beautiful day! Here are my mom and Brody back at home watching Indiana Jones while Papa and Wyatt took a nap.

My dad is so sweet. Wyatt wanted Papa to sleep in his room so here he is on a blow-up mattress.

Wyatt gave his puppy to Papa to sleep with (in his hand). He said the puppy would protect him. Awww!

I told Wy to close his eyes and pretend he was sleeping. This is what I got! I'm surprised he slept at all. He was soooo excited about having his Papa Bear sleep in his room.

After nap we headed to the park to feed the ducks. The boys had so much fun being silly with Mama and Papa!

Renaissance Festival!

Today we spent the whole day at the Renaissance Festival! We had soooo much fun! Be prepared...I have several postings. Sooo much to share!

The boys were fascinated by this walking/talking tree. Wy was too weirded out to get his picture with "The Green Man".

Mimi bought the boys a bow and arrow so they can practice their archery skills. We stopped at Bass Pro Shop on the way home to get some targets. Their sooo excited!!!

The boys loved pulling the ropes to make their pirate ship go higher and higher!

Mimi and Craig had a great time too!

Reptile Man!

The boys couldn't believe their eyes when they saw this python named Theresa (my sisters name too)!!! I couldn't believe they wanted to touch it!!! The Reptile Man came to our library today. Sooooo cool!

All of the kids loved watching this iguana eat blueberries. Yummy!

Brody and Wy are fascinated by all animals, but they especially loved these creepy reptiles!

Playdates

We're always down with having playdates at our house with friends. Here are a few of the kiddos from my weekly playgroup with my teacher friends and their kids. Fudge bars for dessert...YUMMY!!!
Here are the boys with some more great friends at a different playdate. Brody and Wy love their girlfriends Jadyn and Gianna. Their friend Sam (Darth Vader) came to play too. Him and Brody went to town talking about anything related to Star Wars.

Look at this hair!!! I LOVED it! Jadyn had Whoville day at school today. Isn't her mom Shannon a genius!? Sooooo cute Jady!!!!
