Good thing we're the outdoorsy type people because we had no problem finding things to do outdoors during COVID. We missed our family and friends, but tried to stay safe and took extra precautions.

The beginning of COVID- March 2020
I had a very weird feeling when I was saying goodbye to my students as they left my classroom for spring break and my gut was right...they never to returned to my room for the rest of the year. :( Our COVID numbers in AZ were going up so we switched over to online schooling for the rest of the year. We ALL learned so much about different technology resources and I mastered using Flipgrid for my class. I missed them sooo much as I had NEVER imagined what it would be like to teach from home. Here are a few pics of the beginning of the pandemic.
Dunes Trip Feb. 2020
Jerry and his bestie Lucas took all of our boys to the dunes for a short trip in February 2020. They all had a BLAST!
The Joy Bus/ Super Leader Award/ Robots RULE!
For this years Leader in Me project, my grade level decided to have our kiddos do acts of kindness for others. We had some students set up lemonade stands to raise money for The Joy Bus, a local restaurant that delivers food to homebound cancer patients. We were so proud of their efforts and loved hearing about their acts of kindness.
I was given the Super Leader Award by Lisa Datema in Feb. 2020! My class was so excited that I got to have the Vistancia shield!
