Toothfairy!

Brody's second tooth came out today! He pulled it out himself. He's soooo excited! He can't wait to put it under his pillow tonight. He already knows what he wants to use his toothfairy $$ for...a new Lego set.

The first tooth he lost is coming in now. It was also on the bottom in the middle.

Mexico!!!!

The day after my tri we headed to Rocky Point, Mexico with four other families (total of 10 adults and 12 kids). All of them we've known for years and are dear friends. It was the best vacation because we never had hustle and bustle to get here and there. We just hung out at the beach the whole time. Glorious!

Beach time was like having a playdate with a dozen kids all day long for a week. Everyone got along so well and they were all sad to leave each other on the last day.

Here are the kiddos trying to build a high mountain that would withhold the ocean waves and save the dinosaurs.
After a long day at the beach the kids decided to play a game of duck duck goose. They had a blast!
Even though the pool was c-c-cold, Brody and Jadyn were throwing in their frisbee/boomerang and jumping in to retrieve them. Fun!

My friend Shannon brought face paint and Wy said he wanted to be a pirate. He absolutely LOVED his Captain Jack Sparrow look!
Brody and I LOVED going jet skiing!!! He said this was his favorite part of the trip. He was fascinated by going out so far in the ocean and thought that we were skiing over sharks! Hmmm...maybe we were!

I love this one of Wyatt flying his Batman kite. He was so proud!

This was another big highlight of the trip...bunkbeds! The boys have been asking for a long time to get bunkbeds and we've just been waiting for Wy to get a little older. They loved our condo because it had these cool bunkbeds!
I loved this picture of the boys taken right outside our condo. So sweet!
Brody and I laughed so hard when we saw this one. Him and Wyatt were doing karate/ninja poses for me on the beach. Isn't it hilarious!?

This is the best picture we could get with 11 kids (Gianna didn't want any part of the group shot). They are all so special and each have their own great personality. I love it that my friends' kids are growing up with my kids. What an amazing week with some of our best friends! xoxo

Racing to Save Lives

One week ago I participated in a triathlon (400 meter swim, 8 mile bike, and 2 mile run) that raised money for breast cancer. I finished in 1 hour and 10 minutes! I was able to surpass my fundraising goal by collecting $540.00 in donations. That money will be used to provide mammograms, breast cancer education and research through the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Thank you to all of you who were able to make a donation. YOU ROCK!

Here I am swimming at the first event. This was definitely the hardest part of the tri for me. You can see Jerry and the boys cheering me on at the side of the pool. They were waving and saying "go mommy"!

The bike portion of the tri was my favorite. Here I am waving to the boys at the side of the road.
Here I am crossing the finish line. Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!
The boys were so excited to see that I had gotten a medal. They said "mommy got first place"...not! They both took turns wearing it.

Here's the group of friends that participated in the tri with me. Some of them I've known since 7th grade. I can't wait to do it again next year. It was an AMAZING experience. Save the Ta-Tas!!!!!

Butterflies

Every year we order caterpillars and watch them transform into butterflies. Here's Brody at his preschool showing them off to his classmates before he releases them. The kids LOVED it!
Fly butterfly fly...your free!!!!

Here's Brody with his best friend Patrick on the tire swing. They were spinning in circles soooo fast! I guess my son takes after his father with the whole motion sickness thing. I could NEVER do that!

Easter

The boys reminded me that we needed to leave out carrots for the Easter Bunny the night before Easter. Boy, he must have been hungry from all of that hopping because they were gone when the kids woke up Easter morning. The Easter bunny hid their baskets so they had to search for them. Wyatt was most excited about this "Bunny Ears" chocolate bunny. He still hasn't finished it.

Brody loved his Indiana Jones guys, clock and Bob books. Later that morning we went to church with my mom, dad, sister Theresa and her kids. After church we headed to the park to feed the ducks and have a picnic. My mom and dad bought the kids their own kickball and bases, so we all played a game of kickball. So much fun and such a beautiful day.
After nap we headed out to see Linda and go to Olive Garden for dinner. It was delicious!!! Brody couldn't wait to get back to her house to play the Wii!!

Mama & Papa w/ their 7 grandchildren

I thought this was a great picture of my mom and dad with all 7 grandchildren. It was taken after church on Palm Sunday. We celebrated Easter early with my family so Susie's kids would be with us (since their dad had them on Easter). They are all getting so BIG!

We had everyone come over to our house for an egg hunt, silly string fight, bubble mania, and dinner. This picture doesn't quite capture the excitement of the silly string fight. Everyone loved it!

We're so lucky because we all live so close together. Our kids all have an amazing bond with each other. Loved this picture of the cousins. I still can't believe that Eric is 14, Amanda is 13, Nick and Nat are 10, Brody and Tatum are 5, and Wy is 3 now. xoxo

Swimming

We had fun swimming today at a local indoor pool. Mama, Papa, Thersa, Eric, and Tatum joined us too! The Easter Bunny even made a quick stop!
The boys loved seeing the Easter Bunny, going on an egg hunt, and eating cookies with milk. Brody told the Easter Bunny that Easter was his favorite holiday. He's hoping to get a clock in his Easter basket tomorrow. He's so interested in learning to tell time. We'll see!

Here are my mom and Wyatt stopping for a quick picture while they open up all of Wy's eggs from the hunt. Awww!

Kickball...It's On!

Today the boys had their first game playing kickball. It's so much fun to see them together on the same team! Go Brody!!!!!

Wy did a great job as a young 3 year old listening and following directions. He's so happy to be on a big boy team. At the end of the game he couldn't believe that he actually got to run through the parent tunnel instead of making the arch. Soooo cute!

Brody is one of the older kids on the team. It's great to see him as a leader. He's wonderful with pointing Wyatt in the right direction. Seriously, such a loving brother. Go Cardinals!!!!!!!!

Disney on Ice!

We had such a blast at Disney on Ice last night! We couldn't pass up $11.00 tickets (a great deal), so off we went. Here is Brody as Zurg (from Toy Story), Wyatt as Peter Pan (of course), Isabella as Snow White, Tatum as Hannah Montana, and Eric with his Mickey ears. We all had an AMAZING time!

Here was one of the boys' favorite parts...Geppeto gets swallowed up by the whale.

Here's Wy waving goodbye to all of the characters at the end. It was a GREAT show!!!

Alice in Wonderland

We went to see the play Alice and Wonderland on Friday with the whole gang (Mama, Papa, Susie, and cousins)! All of the cousins enjoyed it! Here are a few pics before the play started. Fun times!

Playdate

We had some of my best friends and their kids over today for a playdate. It was sooo much fun! Here is Jack eating an apple. His mommy brought all of the kids an apple with a gummy worm in it to celebrate April Fools Day! The next little guy is Eoin. He looks like he's going to use that egg as a football. Cutie pie!

I know my friend Siobhan will kill me for posting this picture because she hates having her picture taken, but isn't it precious???!!! Sorry Shivs, I couldn't resist!!!!
Brody and Ava paired up and played so well today. She loved the teeter totter!

Look at Eoin and Jack Jack! They had a blast rockin out on the drums!

Gianna loves our house because we have soooo many puppies for her to play with. These were her favorites for today. She was so happy that Brody let her borrow the white one to take home...Yay Yanni!
