Happy Birthday!!!

Yesterday we celebrated six Feb./March birthdays at my mom and dad's house (Susie 47, Theresa 46, Jerry 39, Amanda 16, Nick 13, and Natalie 13).  The kids had fun playing all day!  My dad grilled up the BEST steaks for dinner!!  Yummy!

Renaissance Festival!!!

We had so much fun at the Renaissance Festival over the weekend!  We were celebrating Jerry's 39th Birthday (today is his real birthday).  Mimi joined us for a wonderful day full of fun!

Wyatt had to get in on the action too!  He nailed the guy right on the head with a tomato!!!

Archery was fun too!!!

I love this look on Brody's face!  He got such a kick out of throwing tomatoes, that he went back for seconds!

Family Feud!!!

Over the weekend my mom, dad, sisters, and I went to an audition to be on Family Feud!!  We all had so much FUN!!!  We're hoping to get on the real show so we can win some BIG money$$$!!  The winnings would help pay for our family vacation to Maui this summer (celebrating mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary)!!!  Keep your fingers crossed that we get selected for the show!

The boys both had a wonderful Valentine's Day today!  They both requested breakfast burritos with homemade salsa for breakfast.  :) They only had two hours of school because of parent/teacher conferences.  Brody and Wyatt were excited to show me all of their cool Valentine messages from their classmates when they got home.  Then we headed to the park/skatepark for a picnic.  We were there for almost 5 hours!!!  It was a beautiful day!

Wyatt's teacher gave all of her students these heart shaped helium balloons!  I love the heart hat!!!

Brody was so excited to show me his bag full of Valentine cards/candy!

Brody's First Reconciliation

Brody has been attending reconciliation classes (in addition to regular religious education classes) for the past month.  On Thursday, Feb. 7th he joined 180 other children in participating in their first reconciliation (confession) at our church.  I introduced him to the sweetest Irish priest and then let them get started on the sacrament.  Brody was so nervous.  He had no problem memorizing the Act of Contrition (below).  We thank God for our sweet boy!
 

"O My God, whom I should love with all my heart,

I am sorry for my sins,

By the grace of the Holy Spirit help me to do right and to

always live as a faithful disciple of Jesus your Son.

Amen."

Even though confession is a private matter, my mom, dad, sister, and her kids joined us in celebrating this sacrament.  Afterwards, we headed to McDonalds for dessert!  :)

 

The Candy Factory!

Last week I went with Wyatt's kindergarten class on a field trip to Cerreta's Candy Factory!  YUMMY!  He loved going on a tour of the factory and making his own chocolate pizza!
