Treasure Hunting!

Today we went treasure hunting in the desert with Wyatt's new metal detector.  He found some cool rocks!  Boys will be boys!
His metal detector went crazy in this spot!

We sure are lucky to live right by the desert for these treasure hunting adventures!

We did see some wild life...a cactus wren and a big jackrabbit!

They melt my heart!

They're building new houses on the next street over...lots of fun rubble to play in!

Cool sparkles!

Wyatt's 9th Birthday!

Wyatt had a full week of celebrating his birthday!  We had a family party at my mom and dad's.  When we asked Wyatt what he wanted for dinner, he said "Papa's scrambled eggs!".  So, we all ate breakfast for dinner!  It was delish!  He had fun playing with the cousins and opening his gifts.  Since he opted to get a hoverboard for his birthday, we didn't have a big friend party for him.  He choose to take his best friend Connor to Castles-n-Coasters.  They had so much fun playing mini golf, riding the rides, and playing video games.  On his real birthday he had his favorite breakfast (breakfast burrito), got to go out to eat with his dad to Rubio's, went and picked out Pokémon cards at Target, brought in Dunkin Donuts for his class, and chose to eat dinner at Red Lobster with Mimi.  Whew!  I can't believe my baby is 9!  Where had the time gone!  We love Wyatt's funny personality!  He's always laughing, making jokes, and being silly.  He's earned the nickname Bobby, given to him by my dad.  My dad says he reminds him of his brother Bobby.  Wyatt loves that!  :)

Happy 9th Birthday!

41 Sounds OLD!!!!

I can't believe that I turned 41 on Jan. 15th!  OUCH!!!  It sounds so old!  I sure don't feel 41!  I had the most wonderful birthday!  My hubby made me my favorite breakfast burrito to start the day, then I was surprised at school with A TON of cards, flowers, candies, gift cards, etc.!  At lunchtime, my co-workers took me out to eat and I got my favorite cheesesteak sub!  My friend Lisa made me a delicious homemade cake...YUM!  My mother-in-law brought in dinner from Oregano's that night and we watched a movie called The Martian.  What a day!  I also got to celebrate with my family at my mom and dad's house over the weekend!  My mom and dad made a fabulous homemade meatloaf with mashed potatoes and veggies for dinner.  YUMMY!  I feel so blessed to enjoy and embrace this wonderful life God has given me!  Thank you to everyone who made me feel so special on my birthday!  xoxo
My class totally spoiled me!  I had 8 vases of flowers!!!!  I had to go from teacher to teacher borrowing vases!  So nice to feel appreciated!  :)

This is the 3rd and 4th grade team eating out for my birthday!!! :)
