Camping & Fishing June 2011

We spent 4 glorious days with my mom and dad on the Mogollon Rim this week.  We were eating dinner when we saw this elk walk right through our campsite.  We were soooo excited!

Wyatt showing off his BIG muscles!  He's been lifting weights because he wants to be a wrestler.

The boys were so happy to be out in nature.  Not one complaint the whole trip!

Brody showing off his best spooky face...creepy!

We were so excited to get away from the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives.  We made so many precious memories on this trip.

These boys adore their Mama!  She makes everything we do so much fun!

This is Fuzzy.  He kept reappearing over the four days that we were camping.  The boys got a kick out of watching him climb on their clothes.

Wyatt is so proud that he's named after his Papa.

Papa even let Wy stear the boat!!!!  We love Woods Canyon Lake!

We had a contest to see who could catch the first fish and that person would win $1.00!  Guess who won?...Wyatt pulled in the first fish with his Spiderman pole!  He was in heaven!

We decided to have a picnic and do some bottom fishing on shore, so Mama and Papa trolled a little longer in their boat.  Aren't they cute?!

Jerry caught a water snake that the boys got to pet.  So cool!

Cute picture of the boys fishing.  They were both so patient.

Brody shooting at targets with his bow and arrow.

Wy liked shooting the targets with the BB gun.

At night the boys would watch a movie in our tent.  The adults would play card games and have a few drinks.

Bright and early everyday my dad and I would head out for a bike ride along the Mogollon Rim.  Absolutely breath taking scenery!  I'll always cherish our moments together on that big rock as he told his stories of the past to me.

Here are the boys with their nets trying to catch minnows.  Brody called this spot "minnow city" because there were so many minnows.  They loved catching crawdads too!

Simple little campsite with everything we needed.

Brody was so excited to catch his own fish too!  He was determined to catch a fish on his own pole all by himself.

This trip was one of the best yet!  Brody and Wyatt are totally "nature boys".  They love it!  We can't wait to go back!
